Were you lucky enough to see Chrystian perform at our 2016 Melbourne Guitar Festival? We loved him so much we are thrilled to invite him back for an exclusive Melbourne concert during his 2018 Australian tour!
If you missed him last time, now is your chance to see one of the world’s finest exponents of Brazilian guitar! Last time we heard a concert full of Chrystian’s original compositions, this time he is presenting a concert divided into two parts:
The first, an exciting mix of favourites by Villa Lobos; Garoto; Dilermando Reis; and Paulo Porto Alegre, who wrote and dedicated a new piece of music to Chrystian.
The second, featuring Chrystian’s guitar works (including new pieces!), which are influenced by his travels around the world. Recalling the sounds of the English Renaissance in ‘John Dowland, his Pavan’ to Brazilian dances in ‘Baião de Dois’ to progressive rock in ‘Broken Dance’, this will be a concert of colour and variety.
The program will give the audience an overview of the variety of Brazilian rhythms such as Choro, Bossa Nova, Samba and the Brazilian Waltz.
Complimentary beer, wine and cheese platters served during intermission thanks to our sponsors at Dainton Brewery, Delinquente Wine, CutCommon and Rehearsal Magazine!
Due to seating capacity at the venue, only 100 tickets will be made available. Please pre-book to avoid disappointment!
The Melbourne Guitar Foundation is excited to present such engaging music in a “Pay What You Like” ticket model for this concert.
We encourage you to pay what you can afford (any amount will be accepted) although the following are suggested donations to cover the costs of this event:
$30 – Covers the performance cost
$40 – Covers the performance cost, catering
$50 – Covers the performance cost, catering, artist accommodation and international airfares
Your support is greatly appreciated! and we look forward to seeing you on June 23rd, 7pm at Wyselaskie Auditorium, The Centre for Theology and Ministry, 29 College Cres Parkville 3052.
